Driving:
From the north: take the Riverway Southbound,
past the Rte 9 exit, where Riverway becomes the Jamaicaway.
Turn left at the third light after Rte 9, onto Pond St. Take Pond
to its' end (just a few blocks down), and turn right onto Centre St. Follow Centre down until you see a small island with the
Soldiers' Monument at a fork in the road, where Centre and South Streets diverge: stay to the left of the monument (essentially
going straight) onto South St. Farnsworth House will be on your left fairly soon, on the corner of South and Child,
which is the third left after the fork.
From the south: take the VFW Parkway north to where it runs into Centre St.
Take Centre north past the Faulkner Hospital and the Arnold Arboretum; go halfway around a traffic circle and stay on Centre
(don't turn sharp right onto the Arborway/Rte 203). Stay on Centre until you see the Soldiers' Monument; as
soon as you have passed the monument, take a right onto South St. Farnsworth
House will be on your left fairly soon, on the corner of South and Child, which is the third left after the fork.
Parking is available on side streets off of Centre.
Public Transportation:
Farnsworth House is within walking
distance of both Green Street and Forest Hills Stations on the Orange Line, and MBTA Bus # 39 stops right outside, at the
corner of South and Child Streets
